MEBA Speaker’s Bureau 2025-2026
The MEBA Speaker’s Bureau is a resource that connects students, parents and educators to career opportunities through partnerships, training and resources. MEBA’s Speaker’s Bureau is comprised of partners from business and industry, community and education who want to connect with students, parents and educators through classroom speaking engagements and presentations on career programs and topics. Some of these career programs include the 16 career clusters such as Agriculture, Health Sciences, Information Technology and Manufacturing. Career topics may include writing resumes, interviewing skills, dressing for success, soft skills and more.
How to Use the MEBA Speaker’s Bureau
MEBA suggests researching speakers by one of the following topics including Career Cluster, Career Building & Employability Skills, Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship and Higher Education. There will be a list of speakers specific to each of those topics. Once you select a speaker, click on their name and their speaker profile will populate, providing you with their background, skills set, availability to speak, and other important details. When scheduling a speaker, please be sure to communicate date, time, location, parking instructions (include a map if necessary), and other important logistics a speaker would need to attend your career program. MEBA loves to hear how career connections are made throughout the school districts in the Midlands. Please share your event with us and include pictures and highlights of your career programs made possible by the MEBA Speaker’s Bureau at mebacommunication@mebasc.com.
PLEASE NOTE: MEBA Speaker’s Guide is a resource. MEBA is not responsible for the content of presentations or materials distributed. Any required background checks are the responsibility of the local school district.
Speaker’s Bureau REGISTRATION
The MEBA Speakers Bureau has been one of the most popular resources used by educators to connect partners from business and industry, community and education to their students and parents. Sharing your personal and professional experiences and backgrounds creates a unique opportunity for students to bridge the gap between their academic studies and real-world applications.
If you’re interested in joining the speaker’s bureau or would like to appoint someone from your organization, please take a moment to complete the registration form at the link below which will allow us to be most efficient in aligning your industry as well as career background and experiences with the needs of our school districts in the Midlands.
“I invite career speakers throughout the year to come and speak to our students, and many of my guests come from the MEBA Speakers Guide because it is a fantastic, easy to use resource. I’m also coordinating a school wide Career Expo this fall, and a number of my speakers came from the MEBA Speakers Guide and from relationships formed through MEBA networking and professional development events. I cannot say enough about the amazing resource MEBA has been to me in my position as a middle school Career Specialist.”
